Industry analysis shows that a small number of flights cause the majority of contrail climate impact, highlighting the potential for targeted quantification, intervention and mitigation. The DECISIONX product suite offers unique end-to-end contrail management capability.
Advancing the science
The SATAVIA product suite is at the forefront of contrail-relevant modeling, enabling industry-leading contrail analysis and mitigation. Collaborating across the industry, Aerospace Carbon Solutions is working to source the best possible data inputs for advanced numerical weather prediction and contrail climate impact models, continually improving its model fidelity.
Incentivizing action
In partnership with certification body Gold Standard, Aerospace Carbon Solutions is developing a methodology to generate Certified Mitigation Outcome Units (CMOUs) for aircraft operators implementing contrail management. Operators can retire CMOUs against sustainability targets or trade on voluntary carbon markets to provide financing for action on both CO2 and non-CO2 impacts.
